Book to Film Adaptations for June 2017

 

If you’re like me, you love when books are adapted into films. I especially love doing a comparison to see if the faces and places in the book to film adaptations match what I pictured in my imagination.  On that note, I’m happy to report that we can look forward to some terrific book to film adaptations for June.

If you’re in the market for a decent novel, there’s still time to read the books listed below before their film versions hit the screen.

Captain Underpants

The long-awaited film adaptation for The Adventures of Captain Underpants is finally here! Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie hits theaters on June 2 and stars the voices of Kevin Hart, Tom Middleitch, and Ed Helms.


My Cousin Rachel

The film adaptation of Daphne du Maurier’s novel about the complications of revenge hits the screens on June 9th. It stars Rachel Weisz, Sam Claflin, and Iain Glen.


The Hunter’s Prayer

An Assasin helps a woman avenge her family’s death in this adaptation of Kevin Wignall’s The Hunter’s PrayerSam Worthington stars in this film which launches on June 9.


The Beguiled

by Thomas Cullinan

Starring Nicole Kidman, Elle Fanning, and Kirsten Dunst, the film adaption of The Beguiled will adorn the big screen on June 29.
