24 Books Becoming Movies in 2018


We love learning which books are becoming movies in the near future. Hearing about upcoming film adaptations encourages us to catch up on our reading so we can do comparisons when the film comes out. What we love most about book to film adaptations is how they enable us to keep a book discussion going on well after the title has fallen off the bestseller list.

If you’re like us and love watching films that are based on books, you’ll be very interested in today’s list of books becoming movies in 2018. You still have plenty of time to read them all before they come out!

The Leisure Seeker

Maze Runner: The Death Cure

February 2018 Book to Film Adaptations

Fifty Shades: Freed

The final installment in the Fifty Shades trilogy will once again star Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan. The release date as of this writing is February 8, 2018.

Beatrix Potter’s 1902 classic children’s story is scheduled for release on February 9, 2018. Daisey Ridley, Rose Byrne, and Domhnall Gleeson are slated to star.

Death Wish

Brian Garfield’s novel about a vigilante avenging a brutal crime is being remade into a movie for the second time. The first adaptation of Death Wish starred Charles Bronson. The 2018 version, which is currently scheduled to hit theaters in March , 2018, stars Bruce Willis, Vincent D’Onofrio, and Elizabeth Shue.

A Wrinkle in Time

The eagerly-anticipated film adaptation of A Wrinkle in Time is currently scheduled for release on March 9, 2018. Scheduled to Star are Chris Pine, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Reese Witherspoon.

Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda

Anthem of a Reluctant Prophet
